Ganesha is known as the "Remover of Obstacles" and prayers to him are offered before any new undertakings are begun. The son of Shiva and Parvati, Ganesha is one of the most popular and recognizable gods in the Hindu pantheon with his elephant head.

In this original painting, Ganesha holds the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary in two of his four hands, merging Western tradition with the East.
