18x36, acrylic spray paint on canvas, 2015.

Sai Baba of (ca. 1835-1918) was a spiritual master who resided in the town of Shirdi, in India. He was (and is) revered as a saint by both Hindu and Muslim devotees, though it is still unknown if Baba himself was either religion, and his teachings contained elements of both Hinduism and Islam. He expounded on the importance of love, compassion, charity, and forgiveness, and he opposed all persecution due to religion or caste, warning against religious orthodoxy. Many stories from his devotees attribute various miracles to Baba.
